About Me
I am a nationally certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working in Kansas. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University with an emphasis in Marriage Couples and Families. I have also completed significant graduate work from Midwestern Seminary and worked as a Student Pastor for 5+ years.
In 2012 I met my wife while working as a manager in the telecom industry. My wife and I have been married for 10 years. We have a son (5), a daughter (2), and a newborn.
Based on prior clinical work, I have experience working with individuals and couples struggling with relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, career adjustments, grief, familial struggles and trauma.
My approach to therapy has been shaped primarily by researchers Sue Johnson, Dan Siegel, John Bowlby and Dianna Fosha.

Counseling Philosophy
I believe that every person is created for and longs to experience joy and meaningful relationships. However, our past experiences can often fracture connection and joy. I believe that healing and growth are achieved through understanding and addressing the deeply rooted attachment patterns and emotions that shape our lives.
I operate from an attachment perspective that aims to help you understand why you are wired the way you are and why you do what you do. I also work primarily as an Emotions-Focused Counselor, believing that emotions play a vital role in understanding our internal experience and our actions. I aim to create a compassionate, caring environment that enables you to explore, express and process your emotions and lead to healing.
